Inspiral Carpets - This Is How It Feels

Inspiral Carpets - This Is How It Feels by InspiralCarpets-Official
I saw this music video the other day from the inspiral carpets and I thought the style was different yet effective.

The first scene of the changing landscape with a box with changing pictures on is a style I haven't seen in a music video before , it bares no significance to the song but i believe its a style significant to the inspiral carpets. This long shot establishes the desolate scene and environment.

The next scene shows the assumed lead singer lip syncing the words. This is an area in which I'm unsure about for my music video weather to lip sync or not its present in allot of music videos but I'll have to do more research into my genre of music to see if its a prominent font and if so I'll have to decide to comply or go against the norm.

One of my favourite parts of this music video is when the instuments are thrown in the sea yet it's been played backwards in slow motion. This is a styleised part of the music video but i believe I may be able to incorpirated into my video after effects

  1. I think it would be useful for you to go into a lot more detail. For example, take some screengrabs from the video and identify why you think they are effective. How do they alllow the video to "show" that it is indie?

Crucially, at this stage you need to be digging in a lot more depth - don't allow yourself to slip into bad habits!
