A first draft of my album artwork and branding of my piece. one of my main focus points was the use of colour. I've used a Burgundy and sky blue in the tint of the photo and on the text to give the retro feel seen in the inspirations below from Jake Bugg, the smiths Morrissey and beady eye.
The logo is mainly inspired from Jake bugg' logo by the use of bold text with an underline on the second word yet it isn't a clear copy but bares a small resemblance.
The picture in the background was inspired by the smiths original records in which they used old photos on their lp covers. The image itself is from 1996 of sunderland fans. I used a Burgundy tint to give a vintage/retro finish alongside the sky blue title.
The back of the CD is intended to be simple yet cary the colour scheme of the front. I have used inspiration from the smiths first album and miles Kane's first album back's. The simple design fits well with the vibrant front cover.
below is the rights of this image which gives me the ability to use it if I quote the photographer.
