The album cover bares
a close up image of Jake with a backdrop of terraced housing. The backdrop may
be a mechanism in which to reach the target market showing that Jake is from
this background and is writing music about working class Britain. The image on
the back emphasises this by having a mid-long shot of Jake in the working class
street. The lettering on the front is simple but effective in clearly showing
the artists name and is used as a brand on all of his work ( also on the back
of the cd) The CD itself totally contrasts with the cover which is interesting.
I'm not quite sure why because usually the image on the cd is relevant to the
front cover.
The sepia effect of the cover gives the vintage look in which keeps with the sound of Jake Bugg who has been described as a 21st century Johnny Cash.
