This poster is typical of what is normally seen in a magazine advert. The album art is re shaped to fit the space (album art below) plus the addition of reviewers comments. The colour scheme of the comments is the red white and blue seen on the front cover of the album. The record label is in white along with information about the release at the bottom. Yet the only thing that isn't in the colour scheme of the record is the HMV logo in which stands out due to its purple text and curved font. The font seen on the reviewers comments is the same bold font seen on the record cover. This magazine advert advertises Lesbian's first album. The prominent photo is the album artwork with the band's logo. The only part which has been added to create it into a magazine poster is the text below their logo. The line"The Debut Album" differs from the logo font but bares the same black and white colour scheme. The same text is carried on with the writing below which shows reviewers comments. The larger text at the bottom is information on the singles of the album.
This is simple yet effective due to the hype surrounding the band at their start.
This is similar to most other magazine adverts in showing the album artwork. the only real difference from the album sleeve is the addition of reviewers comments and the enlarged logo of the band. The black and white colour scheme is kept throughout the poster. The date of release is seen in bold text on this poster which is common in magazine posters

You might want to go into a little more depth in terms of things like the choices of image/ font and how these fit into the genre/ style within which you are working. It would also improve things if you included notes about which elements you might use in your final pieces and why. Some indication of how this links to the video would be good as well.
