Poster

This is the album advertisement poster I have made that will be seen in magazines such as NME, Mojo, Q and similar "Indie" music magazines. From my research material I noticed that the majority of the time the main  image was the front cover of the record enlarged to an A4 size. I have used this format by enlarging the cover image (with the same tint).   Another thing I saw commonly in magazine posters was the release date, the band's website and the name of the first single of the album in the middle of the poster. I have also used star ratings due to this being very common in music adverts and almost a universally accepted from of review plus comments from well known magazines.

Although this image is squashed I made this to show how my product compares to a real music advert in comparison to its cd cover. As you Can see The main image on the cd is kept on the stone roses "20th anniversary" yet it has been expanded to a A4 format. This Is similar to what I've done by enlarging my cd cover image to an A4 format and overlaying the image with reviews. Also the colour scheme that's used on the stone roses album is kept on the album advert(red white blue and gold). I've tried to replicate this on my piece by only using colours I've used in the album (burgundy, sky blue and white). Also a prominent feature on the stone roses album and advert is the signature lemon ( their logo). This is seen on mine with my suedes logo that is seen on both the album cover and album advert. Overall I'm very happy with my advert . I believe it does look like a professional package that could be a real media piece.
