The latest arctic monkeys band logo bares simple black and white font that has been edited so the lines are slightly waved and the font gets gradually larger.

From looking at British indie rock bands in which my band "the suedes" will be following in the footsteps on, I have made the conclusion that mine will have similarities. Predominantly the logo is black (or white depending on the album cover colour) and bares the name of the band in a font in which emphasises their image. My particular favourite is the stone roses lemon. This has given me inspiration for a fruit orientated logo.
I think that a little more analysis would help you explain your ideas more clearly.
