Suedehead
Morrissey - Suedehead
This is a video I have seen which I will have allot of inspiration for my final piece. The use of the narrative is common amongst indie rock music videos and this is a prime example. The video donsent tell a deep and meaning full story but has simple narrative. One device which is used is the cut between morrissey taking the photo and then to the black and white photo that was taken. This is the only time Ive seen it on a music video but it fits in well and I think I'll use it in mine. The music video also uses many shots of the environment and it cuts in time with the music. This is something I'm definitely using in my video due to the fact my band are a north east based there will be many shots of the northern scenery.
There are also many panning shots in the video that combine two shots toter. for example there is a shot of the scenery which pans into morrissey in a cafe. This may be something I can try and replicate in my video.
Yet I may not be replicating the shot of morrissey in a field of cows playing bongo drums.

Would be useful to get a few screengrabs to illustrate what you mean, patricularly shots/ images you would hope to replicate.
